FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Very safe and the community is gated – externally and has over 100 additional security personnel across all 20 neighborhoods, beach clubs and hotels. Like any destination or major city you travel to internationally or domestically, there are risks and one should always be aware and exercise caution (especially if venturing outside of the gates but even outside, risks are low), but largely speaking the news is over sensationalized. If there are concerns, we encourage you to reach out to Chris, Kevin or Carlos directly.

This isn’t a corporate retreat, so no, not mandatory, but hopefully you attend all 3 events and arrive on time and stay through the conclusion.  The events themselves should be high impact, engaging and great networking while also leaving ample free time, especially for those coming in early and leaving late.

The conversations will be a blend of the row, the ‘why’, we’ll hear from the benefactors and beneficiaries but also touch on other themes we believe will resonate with the attendees.

While we did receive extremely generous support from Punta Mita for venues, food, beverage, service and a select number of room nights, Chris is personally picking up some material expenses for this event to ensure we all have a fulfilling experience.  We do ask your help supporting all service staff with gratuities, booze will be at your expense (we’re encouraging an N/A event but won’t be offended if you want some yummy margaritas, wine, etc!) and in some cases we may ask for support in villa cleaning fees.

None of the expenses will be taken from the money already raised, or that we hope to raise from this event and beyond.

We’ve included a digital map on the microsite and a printed one in your welcome bag.  The events are at Sufi, Pacifico Beach Club and Kapuri Beach Club and if you need transportation you can either take a golf cart or ask your hotel to help guide you.  Walking will be long and hot, so we don’t suggest it, especially for the final night as that is ~2.5 miles from most villas and the hotels.

Chris, and many other guests, are here before and after the event and I’m sure would be happy to meet up in villas, in town, for a walk or even paddle / row ;)

No – these are often deeply personal experiences so no need to share.  That said, we’re hoping to offer up a safe and constructive community and space where if it is helpful, we’d love to hear – as a side bar at a meal or in the larger group settings.  But again, never required, lightly encouraged, only if comfortable.

Event support is ‘crowdsourced’ as trying to manage expenses per the above, but on point are Whitney, Kevin, and Carlos — their WhatsApps are the best way to get them and we’ve set up a ConneXion Punta Mita WhatsApps Group. You can find the link to join on the home page of this site.

We have a ConneXion Attendees WhatsApp group here … and yes, while we have a professional photographer and will share her photos, yours all welcome and STRONGLY encouraged as well!!
